RICK HAYS
SENIOR PASTOR
Rick joined Orchardville Church as the Youth Pastor for Modified Youth in January of 2017 and transitioned into the Senior Pastor position in June of 2021. He spent his early years growing up near Chicago (loves the Cubs) and moved to Southern Illinois with his family when he was in junior high. He gave his life to the Lord at a young age, but didn’t grasp the relationship Jesus wanted with him until he was out of high school. It was at this time he felt called to ministry. His passion for working with youth began when he began volunteering to help out with the youth group at his church. He volunteered as the youth pastor at a local church for eight years. During this time, he enrolled in college and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education. He taught in the area for a few years before beginning his ministry here at Orchardville Church.
Rick is married to Sara, his partner in ministry, and they have two children; a son named Jaxon who passed away in July of 2022 and a daughter named Brylin. He enjoys spending time with his family, his friends, movies, reading, and coaching sports. Rick knows ministry is his calling and his heart is for as many people as possible to come to know Jesus as their Savior and best friend.
JENIFER McCLAIN
OC KIDS DIRECTOR/PASTOR
Jenifer has been attending church for most of her life and she became a believer at a young age after attending a church camp. Jenifer has always had a passion to minister to children and has been working in children's ministry since 2001. She has been the children's director at Orchardville Church since April of 2023. She strives to teach her children the foundations of faith and to equip them to go out into the world which is commanded by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20. She continues to seek ways of reaching today’s children that are grounded in Scripture and points the children's hearts toward God.
Jenifer is married to Jeff McClain, who is a part of the worship team at Orchardville Church. She has three adult children, one daughter-in-law, and one new granddaughter, Rowan, that was born in June of 2023. Drew (the oldest) and Courtney (daughter-in-law), Stephen (the second oldest), and Amber (the youngest). Jenifer likes to spend her free time working on puzzles and spending time with her family. Jenifer is grateful to be a part of the Orchardville Church team and is excited to see where God leads her in this journey.
AUDREY SHARP
WORSHIP DIRECTOR
Audrey has had music and faith woven together throughout her life. Growing up in church, she discovered early on the powerful way worship connects us to God and to one another. Her own journey with Christ became personal during high school when she accepted Jesus as her Savior, and that decision shaped everything that followed. She began using her musical gifts in junior high, singing in church and discovering her passion for leading others in worship. In 2017, she found her church home at Orchardville, where she's been growing in community and faith ever since. She later married her husband Dillon, and together they continue to serve and worship at Orchardville.
Audrey and Dillon have been blessed with two wonderful children, Emberly and Lincoln, who keep life full and joyful. When she's not leading worship or spending time with her family, you might find Audrey quilting, crocheting, or curled up with a good book. She believes that creativity—whether through music, handcrafts, or the written word—is one of the ways we reflect our Creator. Audrey is excited to serve Orchardville as Music Director, helping our church family encounter God's presence through worship and use our voices to declare His goodness together.
BILL THOMPSON
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Bill has served in ministry for over four decades. He began in youth ministry in 1985 and later attended Moody Bible Institute while continuing to pursue his calling. In 1994, he entered pastoral ministry and has since served churches across northern, central, and southern Illinois, investing in people and encouraging them in their walk with Christ.
In 2026, Bill stepped into the role of Associate Pastor at Orchardville Church, continuing his calling to shepherd, teach, and walk alongside others in their faith journey. He has a deep passion for seeing people come to know Christ and for helping believers grow in their faith and intimacy with Jesus.
Bill and his wife, Chris, originally from northern Illinois, have been married since 1987. They have two grown children: Jared and his wife, Moriah, and Jessica Arnwine and her husband, Robert. Bill and Chris are also proud grandparents to Makayla Wildbur and Jett Thompson.
Outside of ministry, Bill enjoys following Chicago sports teams, including the Blackhawks, Bears, and Cubs. He also loves camping and kayaking with his family.
BRIAN SWOPE
CONNECTIONS PASTOR
Brian grew up in St. Louis, MO and found Jesus as a teenager in high school. From the moment he met Jesus, Brian has had a passion for sharing the Good News with anyone who would listen. Just as he was about ready to graduate from high school, Brian felt the call to ministry. He followed that call to Saint Louis Christian College where he met his wife, Katie. A city boy and a country girl that shared a passion for Jesus that would take them across the country. Interrupted by the events of 9/11, Brian spent six years in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Brian and Katie began serving the Church full-time. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry and Christian Leadership from Liberty University. Together, Brian and Katie have ministered in Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee and Illinois. It’s that shared love for Jesus that has brought them and their family to Orchardville Church.
Brian and Katie have five children; Kanan, Lily, Josiah, Tolliver and Simon. Brian enjoys spending time with his family, coaching and playing sports. He is an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri Tigers fan. Above all else, Brian wants to see the name of Jesus lifted high and to give Him all the glory. He wants everyone he meets to know the love Jesus first showed him. As Connections Pastor, he hopes to ensure nobody who walks through the doors of Orchardville Church goes untouched by the love of Jesus.
BARRY WILLIAMS
YOUTH PASTOR / MEDIA
Barry has been in the ministry in many capacities for 20-plus years. He came to the Lord by saving grace at the age of 9. He was called to preach the Word over 20 years ago. Since then, he has met his best friend and amazing wife, Tonya; they have been married for 20 years. They have 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren. The Lord has used them in many areas of ministry, from youth ministry and children's church, to choir director, leading men’s and women’s ministry, and pastoring 2 churches. They love being a big part of VBS, youth camps, coaching youth sports, as well as teaching at a local Christian-based school.
Barry and Tonya, along with 3 granddaughters, Lexi, Gracelyn, and Emily, have come to be a part of the Orchardville family through much prayer and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ from Northwest Georgia. They all simply live by the power of the Holy Spirit to the words “FOLLOW ME”! Their family is surrendered to the place that “where the Lord is moving and working…that’s where we wanna be!” They long to see people RADICALLY TRANSFORMED by the POWER OF GOD.

JODIE KELLY

Jodie and her husband Josh have been married since 1997, building a beautiful family together. They are the proud parents of two sons and a daughter- Tyson, Zane, and Presley-and have welcomed two daughters-in law, Chesney and Rylee into their family. They have also been blessed with two precious granddaughters, Emberlyn and Ira. In her spare time, Jodie enjoys reading a good book, spending time with her family, and cheering Presley on at her many sporting events.
Jodie has been a part of the Orchardville Church family for over 11 years. She has a deep love for OC and a passion for serving others and sharing the love of Jesus. She is grateful for all God has done in her life and feels truly blessed to be a part of the OC team and the work He is doing through Orchardville Church.
AARON McCORMICK
FACILITIES MANAGER
Aaron stepped into the role of Facility Manager at Orchardville Church in January of 2026! Aaron has been part of the Orchardville Church family from birth and the church has played a meaningful role in his life and faith journey. He’s truly thankful for the opportunity to serve in this new way and is passionate about caring for the church and its facilities so they can continue to be a welcoming place for worship, fellowship, and community.
Aaron and his wife Alisa, who also serves as a nursery coordinator at OC, have three children, Draven, Izabella, and Wren. Aaron enjoys making memories with his family, hunting, and operating his skid steer. He looks forward to being the hands and feet of Jesus.
